Gas cylinder is a common problem to gas user especially to gas cylinder which burner directly on top of it.
The major causes of the rusting are hot water from the cooking food, place of placement of cylinder and cylinder age.
When the hot water from the food pours directly on the gas cylinder, it leads to overheating and later result in the paint on the body pilling little by little.
Prevention
As already stated that hot water from the food causes pilling, limit the water to reduce water pouring from the pot to the gas cylinder body.
Clean the gas cylinder body when wet with water immediately after use.
PLACE OF PLACEMENT: The place you put your gas cylinder is also very important for it to rust. Placing cylinder on the barren floor will aid rusting, because water will be storing under and the heat from under will also have an effect on it. It’s advisable to place your cylinder a wooden or metal stand or you frequently clean the under after use.
